Drug Reaction With Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS) Syndrome Caused by Apalutamide: A Case Presentation

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is a severe drug that triggered several weeks after the start of new medication. This syndrome presents variety clinical symptoms, specifically manifestation involving fever followed by rash. A medications are known to trigger DRESS, most common being anticonvulsants allopurinol. Here, we discuss case medication, apalutamide, caused DRESS in our patient. Early recognition abrupt discontinuation medication required for management this minimize morbidity mortality.
